Ray Badran
Ray Badran has been a regular on the Australian club and festival circuit for the past five years. In this time Ray has honed his performance skills and material and is now considered at the forefront of a new generation of comedians who are both edgy and inventive. He is rapidly making a name for himself as one of the country’s finest comedian MC’s and his astute, observational style make him a hit with any audience. He was also selected to perform for the Comedy Channel’s ‘Best of the Fest’. With multiple television writing credits and mounting radio and television appearances Ray is widely regarded as one of the hottest rising stars of Australian comedy.
Steve Hughes
Internationally renowned stand up comedian Steve Hughes tells it like it is - confronting, alarming and always hilarious. The convict wizard with worldly insights into the bleeding obvious comes armed with more issues than an occupy movement. The inimitable ex-heavy metal drummer has been burning up the international circuit for the past 10 years, he has toured throughout Europe, Australia, USA, Canada & New Zealand to rave reviews and mutinous laughter. After storming stages at prestigious invite-only festivals and selling out his solo tours worldwide, Steve returned to Australia in 2014 with a brand new show “While It’s Still Legal” which sold out at comedy festivals across the land. He is currently working on new material and a feature length animated film.
Michael Workman
A genre-defying fable spinner with a captivating imagination, Michael Workman creates unexpected worlds, rich characters and many, many laughs. His gentle yet powerfully poignant work stands apart from the rapid fire gags of conventional comedy. Although primarily known for his exquisite festival shows, Michael is also a visual artist, a voiceover guy, a composer/musician and a knockout stand up. Michael is a sharp and insightful stand up who can kill in any club in the world. He was invited to be part of the prestigious Just For Laughs Gala at the Sydney Opera House, performing with some of the best stand-up comedians from all over the world. All this with a bulging trophy shelf and a press folder that would make most of us blush.
Nikki Britton
Nikki Britton has recently returned from Los Angeles where she performed at worldrenowned venues such as The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store. She is a warm, energetic “tour-de-force” who has been hand picked to tour the country with the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow and Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase Tours for the last four years. Also an actor, Nikki has recently returned from a two-year national tour of the juggernaut one-woman comedy play, 51 Shades of Maggie Muff (Theatre Tours Australia) and is about to go into development with a new project for the ABC. With her quirky characterisation, physical hilarity and lightning wit, her style has been described as “a force-of-nature performance that sweeps up all in her path” (Chortle) and makes her one of the country’s best comedy and corporate MC’s. She also currently works as Captain Starlight for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
