This walkathon takes place along the Werri Beach foreshore pathway (about 2km each way), and aims to raise funds for children with cerebral palsy.
Monies raised go towards providing Hart Walkers and other specialised walking frames for these children, who would otherwise be wheelchair-bound.
This year’s walk will take place on June 12.
It will commence at 10am from the carpark at the southern end of Werri Beach.
Sponsorship forms can be collected from Gerringong Public School, Cronin’s Liquor Store in Gerringong, Gerringong Bowling Club, or you can enter on the day from 9am.
As usual there will be plenty of giveaways and the famous Lions barbecue.
The community’s generosity has been greatly appreciated in the past and the Gerringong Lions look forward to similar support this year.
For more information about the walk, contact David Peade on 4234 2606.
