We are continuing work on the restoration of Saddleback Mountain Southern Lookout with working bees scheduled for most Saturday mornings for the next several months. It is a big effort but the result will be a valuable asset for the community that locals and visitors alike can enjoy.
Kiama Rotary is very active on social media. Social media is a great way to stay in touch and keep up-to-date with what is happening in the local and international communities. Please check us out and LIKE us on Facebook at:https://www.facebook.com/RotaryKiama. Also take a look at our website at: http://rotarykiama.org.au. KIAMA LIONS
This weekend expect to see our smiling faces on your doorsteps as we carry out the annual collection for the Salvation Army's Red Shield appeal. This is their major fund-raising event of the year and we are happy to play our part.
Well the piano has been sold to a very musical family from Bomaderry and they are thrilled to get such a wonderful instrument. Proceeds of the sale go to our Respite Centre.
Sales are going well for our Monster Trivia Night on Friday, June 17 at the pavilion. Tables are still available, please look out for the posters around town. If you do not have enough (10) for a full table call Ian Chellew anyway (0417 602 289) and he will fit you in.
KIAMA MEN’S PROBUS
Kiama Men’s Probus meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 9.15am at Kiama Bowling & Recreation Club. Our next meeting is on Wednesday, May 25. Members will hear about local lady Rhoda Pooley’s unforgettable experiences in India, working in a remote village with the Kiama Anglican Church Project.
Any retired men in the community who would like to join in the fun, fellowship and friendship with us will be made most welcome. The format of the meeting is business and morning tea followed by the guest speaker.
Should you wish to share the occasion, or are considering joining Probus, please contact president Garry Funnell on 42322210, or just come along.
