Ian, now 75, and Barbara Donald, 74, were married on Saturday, May 6, 1966.
Ian and Barbara first met at a dance hall called the Rivoli at Hurstville.
They wed at St. Bernadette’s, Argyle Street, Carlton two years later.
Barbara was a textiles and design teacher at Santa Sabina College and Ian a sales consultant for a hire company.
They reside in Kiama where they are both members of the Kiama Probus Club. They have a daughter and two grandchildren.
A surprise luncheon took place at Addy’s Shellharbour last Saturday, where guests celebrated with them.
One of Ian’s groomsman, who Ian had not seen for 50 years also attended.
