Highway crash – A 70-year-old Dalmeny received an infringement notice for crashing into the back of another vehicle being driven by a Bermagui man on the Princes Highway at Turlinjah at 10.30am Thursday. A caravan was also involved and one person was taken to hospital.

Tanja crash – Around 11am Monday, April 25, a Nissan Skyline was travelling south on the Tathra Bermagui Road at Tanja. A large rock was in the middle of the lane. The driver attempted to swerve to avoid the obstacle and his vehicle slide sideways into the embankment before rolling over onto its roof. The driver was treated at the scene for a minor injury to his right eye and attended Bega Hospital for treatment.
Container break-in – Someone broke into a shipping container on Dalmeny Drive in North Narooma between last Monday afternoon and last Wednesday morning stealing a ride-on mower and line trimmer, and police would appreciate any information.
Car damaged – A group of youths was seen damaging a car parked in Narooma cinema car park using a chair to smash the bonnet around 4.30pm on Saturday, April 16. Any information would be appreciated.
Signs destroyed – A local 18-year-old man was charged with malicious damage after he was seen destroying road signs on Lamont Street, Bermagui around 5am Saturday.
Goods stolen – A 43-year-old local man was allegedly seen stealing alcohol and cigarettes from a Dalmeny supermarket at 2.10pm last Wednesday. Investigations continue.
Phone stolen – A local woman was see taking a mobile phone from a counter at a Bermagui shop at 5.40pm Friday. Police used CCTV footage to identify the woman, who has been charged with stealing, and the phone will be returned to its owner.
Fishing gear – An amount of fishing gear found on Centenary Drive, Narooma on Saturday, possibly off the back of a utility or boat, was handed into Narooma police and can be claimed if identified correctly.
Trailer stolen – Sometime between 8am Saturday, March 5 and 7am Monday, March 7, a “classic” box trailer was stolen from a factory in Acacia Close, Dalmeny. It is blue coloured, 1998 model with NSW registration plates L52254. The trailer is 3.6 metres long by 2.2 wide and had a buckle in the tailgate. It has dual axles. Police are interested to hear from anyone that may have information. This can be reported anonymously to Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Narooma Police on 4476 2044.
Suspended driver – At 10.25am on Saturday, police were patrolling for a vehicle after a driving complaint in Moruya. Police observed a white Holden Commodore. Checks revealed the vehicle was unregistered since September 2015 and the 31-year-old driver was suspended. The driver was issued with infringement notices for registration offences and a court attendance notice for Moruya Local Court.
