Batemans Bay Anglican minister Reverend Colin Walters has described the weekend’s Spirit Conference at St Peter’s Anglican College Broulee as a “great weekend.”

“It was very different to previous Spirit Conferences in respect to the extended time spent worshipping God,” he said.
There were 119 people there.
“Twenty-four people were healed by God over the weekend, of both emotional and physical health issues, such as bad shoulders and aches and pains,” Reverend Walters said.
Warwick and Alison Marsh, who are from Wollongong and are part of Australian Heart Ministries, were the featured speakers, and were well received.
“The teaching was clear and precise in relation to the glory of God,” Reverend Walters said.
“People had the opportunity to share spiritual gifts, mainly around prophecy, particularly in small groups.
“Seventeen people were chosen at random to share words from God with someone in the group.”
The conference was opened up to the public on Saturday night.
“A lot of people came along just on the night,” Reverend Walters said.
“There was a lot of music, preaching and ministry time.”
Reverend Walters was delighted with the teaching of Mr and Mrs Marsh.
“They helped people understand about the glory of God and how it works with the infilling and baptism of the Holy Spirit,” he said.
While it was an Anglican organised conference, there were people from churches of different denominations in the Eurobodalla and beyond.
Richard and Christine Murray from Bay Life Church and Garren Walton of Southland Church spoke on Saturday night.
The worship music team was made of of Jordan Innes and Kevin Harrison of Southland Church and Andy Bell, Eddie Lee and Ruby Boland of Ulladulla Highway Christian Church.
“We wanted to have a ecumenical approach and be in partnership with other churches, because this adds to the strength of the conference,” Reverend Walters said.
“There was a lot of different aspects of the conference, and we did an evaluation afterwards and all the feedback was positive,” Reverend Walters said.
St Peter’s college again proved an ideal venue.
“The venue worked well; St Peter’s, they just bless us by giving us the venue free of charge,” Reverend Walters said.
The next event put on by the Anglican Church in Batemans Bay will be the Living Waters conference in August, with Deborah Starling.
