Two Navy Bell 429 helicopters from 723 Squadron will pass over towns including Batemans Bay, Moruya, Tuross Head, and Narooma, starting at 10am at Kiama.
Eurobodalla National Service Association district president Alan Shephard said the event followed the flyover of a RAAF Hercules aircraft during last year’s Anzac Centenary parades.
“We welcome the involvement and support of the Royal Australian Navy in helping us to remember the sacrifice the Anzacs made,” he said.
“Our organisation helped plan and coordinate the flypasts to occur at opportune times and to not conflict with ceremonial proceedings.”
Meanwhile, Batemans Bay RSL Sub-Branch and Batemans Bay RSL Women’s Auxiliary have placed a poppy on each plaque on the memorial wall in the Batemans Soldiers Club.
“I was up at the (Australian) War Memorial and saw how flowers look good on memorials, and many put poppies on individual plaques on this wall, so I thought for Anzac Day we would have them on all of them,” Sub-Branch president Brian Wheeler said.
There are 498 names of Batemans Bay veterans on the memorial.
“The most recent addition (was) Paul Robinson, our last Korean War veteran, who died in January,” Mr Wheeler said.
Batemans Bay’s dawn service is at 5.45am at the honour stone, and the march for the main service forms at 10am at the Soldiers Club.
Moruya’s dawn service is at 5.40am at the RSL Memorial Hall. The march for the main service will form up behind the Adelaide Hotel and proceed to the hall at 11am.
The Bergalia service is at 9am, and the Tuross Head dawn service at 5.45am at the Memorial Gardens. Assembly for the main service is at Birdwood Circle for the 11am march to Tuross Head Country Club.
Nelligen’s service is at 11am, and the Tomakin march forms at the Rivermouth Store at 6.45am and proceeds to the Tomakin Sports and Social Club service.
