The Kiama Power Division 1 team remain unbeaten after a hard-fought win over the newly merged Nowra/ Albatross team in their Round 2 South Coast AFL clash on the weekend.

In their first home game of the year, the Power took a 10-point lead into both quarter and half-time. Nowra/Albatross took control after half-time taking a 5 point lead at three-quarter time but a 6 goal to 1 final quarter saw the Power finish with a 27-point win.
Ben Griffin finished with five goals, while Jack Mahony and Josh Simpson provided some class through the midfield. Jimmy Ryan and Terry Shahmatov were outstanding in their first games for the Power.
Final score: Kiama 12.13 (85) def. Nowra/Albatross 9.4 (58).
Kiama’s Division 2 team had another big win, defeating Nowra/Albatross, 19.16 (130) to 3.3 (21), Dan Herbert again provided a target up forward kicking six goals with Matt Price, Paddy O’Neil and Steve Boothroyd also having strong games.
