They say home is where the heart is and if we owned any of these homes, we’d have trouble leaving. The South Coast is known for its pristine beaches and unspoilt bushland, but there are plenty of man-made gems to be found as well. For the last few years, we have been scouring high and low for the Shoalhaven and South Coast’s most spectacular houses to feature in our annual magazine, Amazing Homes.

Danny and Ainslie Davidson’s Callala Beach home, Salt on Silkwood, featured in last year’s publication. Although they claimed they weren’t designers, the pair managed to create a home that fits perfectly with its surrounds. Striking green tones throughout reflect the leafy environment. "We're not designers," Ainsley said. "My husband Danny and I are just both very picky and wanted to have things the way we wanted them.” It took the couple eight months to design, using inspiration from a trip to Singapore.
