A great day of Sevens rugby by the beach, the event is held annually on the last Saturday in February.
The Kiama Sevens Cup is presented to the Champion Club, with a Plate presentation for the runners-up.
In 2016, total prize money including trophies is valued at $25,000.
The Kiama Sevens will be an ARU club tournament in 2016.
The tournament will be run as four separate competitions:
*Kiama Sevens Cup: 16-team/four group tournament.
*Plate competition: played by the losing semi-finalists.
*The Women’s Vase: will be an eight-team/two group tournament.
*The Country Cup: will be an eight-team/two group tournament.
*The Bowl: will be an eight-team/two group tournament.
The minimum number of games has increased to three, with playing time increased to seven minutes each way with a one minute half-time break, as per IRB Sevens laws.
