For general manager Mark Sleigh the latest National and International Visitor Survey is an early Christmas present and he is expecting more growth in 2016.
“We are very excited by 2015. With the first call of Radiance of the Seas that is going to be a game changer for Wollongong. And we have a host of other projects we are working on. To grow product those projects need to come to fruition so more visitors come and spend more money. Mount Keira and the Convention Centre are two..and that will give visitors a reason to come mid week and stay.”
The domestic overnight market is up 30 per cent, domestic daytrip market (44) and international overnight market (82). Overall visitor expenditure grew 42.6.
