Unruly teens bad image for tourism

ON Monday, September 17, my wife and I were visiting the Kiama Blowhole. While I was taking photos, there were three young teenagers running around the blowhole and jumping over it.

I called out to them that they should be behind the safety rails. I took photos of them doing this as I thought it was a crazy thing to do.

They were also throwing rocks into the blowhole and in the direction of tourists on the viewing deck.

As I was leaving the car park, one of the youths approached my car in a very threatening manner, wanting to know what I was going to do with the photos. I didn't reply to him, but when I drove off he started kicking my car.

This is not a good advert for Kiama Tourism. I must add there were about 40 tourists on the viewing deck at the time.

If this letter is published, please do not use my surname or anything that will identify me.

Disappointed
