The Shoalhaven District Junior Cricket Association’s under-12 team was defeated by the South Coast Junior Cricket Association under- 12 team in a competitive final at Bernie Regan Oval on Sunday.

South Coast won the toss and chose to bat.
At the end of their 40 overs they had complied 118 runs for eight wickets lost.
The highlight of South Coast’s innings was a score of 49 by I Kay.
This innings proved to be the difference in the match.
The Shoalhaven boys fielded well and bowled tightly.
Lachlan Mark was the best Shoalhaven bowler, snaring three wickets for 17 runs.
The other wickets were shared between Alec Dobson, Hyeon Parsons, Jay Ramsden, Jack Walsh and Marley Arthur.
When Shoalhaven came into bat Lachlan Barr started with a bang, taking 12 runs from the first over.
Unfortunately he was caught soon after.
South Coast bowled and fielded extremely well and restricted Shoalhaven’s ability to score at the required run rate.
Lachlan Mark completed a good match, scoring 17 and Drew Ramsden again showed his class with an excellent 21 runs.
Jacob Zerafa also made a good contribution to the score with 17.
At the completion of the 40 overs Shoalhaven were 8/91, 27 runs short of the South Coast total.
The presentation of the trophy took place after the match with Ian Hogg, chairman of the NSW Country Cricket Association and current Cricket NSW Board Member, doing the honours.
In making the presentation Mr Hogg made the point that there was a great deal of potential in the two teams and that with hard work many of the boys would go on to achieve much in cricket.
