If you know of an individual from the Kiama community who has performed at an elite level in their chosen sport, or made an important contribution to sports administration, be sure to nominate them for Kiama council’s Sports Honour Roll.
If successful, a nominee will be inducted as part of Kiama’s council’s Australia Day celebrations.
The Sports Honour Roll is the municipality’s sporting hall of fame.
Inductees to the roll will join the likes of Gerroa surfer Sally Fitzgibbons.
Nominees must demonstrate:
•achievement at an elite level of sporting performance, or
•a contribution at an elite level of sporting administration or sport science, or
•performance of a particularly outstanding athletic achievement or service to sport that warrants special recognition, and
• have integrity, sportsmanship and character.
Nominate online at www.kiama.nsw.gov.au, download a nomination form, or visit or phone council’s administration centre at 11 Manning Street, Kiama or phone them on 4232 0444.
Nominations close Friday, December 18.
Nominations for the Sports Honour Roll are open annually.
Council considers all nominations carefully and is not required to select an inductee each year.
