IN A bid to attract the strongest possible field for its Australia Day and Achievement Awards, Kiama council has extended the nomination deadline to Monday, November 30.

The categories are: Citizen of the Year; Young Citizen of the Year; Sports Awards and Community Arts Award.
On Australia Day, the council also celebrates its Council Achievement Awards which are for: Service to the Environment; Community Achievement Award and Youth Achievement Award.
All people (other than previous winners of the award) who are residents of the Kiama Local Government Area at the time of nomination, are eligible for nomination.
Nominations will be judged by a community panel in December.
