“The Bling a Bra competition is a chance for the community to spread this important message in a creative and fun way, while recognising this disease that affects approximately 271 women in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven areas every year,” said SESI Health Promotion Officer, Boshra Hemmati.
“The Bling a Bra for October competition involves individuals and groups decorating bras using innovation design concepts and personal creative flair to reflect the key message of breast awareness and the benefits of mammography screening,” Ms Hemmati said.
Community groups, colleagues and friends are encouraged to organise their own bra decorating workshops to recognise Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
