Renee McBryde from Fairy Meadow won her first International Tennis Federation Junior Singles Title, at the NSW International held at Sydney Olympic Park last week. McBryde defeated the No.1 seed, Selina Turujla from South Australia, in the final, 6-4 3-6 7-5.

McBryde also had success in the doubles event, going down in two tight sets in the final 7-6 6-3. This result will significantly help McBryde’s world junior ranking, which current sits at 1485.
After 10 months without tournament play, due to injury, Corrimal’s Mia Repac has quickly returned to form, and scored a great first-up tournament victory. Repac won the 12 Girls Singles at the ACT Junior Open, taking the final 4-6 6-0 6-1.
Mt Ousley’s Adam O’Shannessy has also made a strong recovery from recent surgery and is progressing well in the Tennis Wollongong Junior Silver Tournament. O’Shannessy is currently in the semi-finals of the 16 Boys’ Singles and 16 Boys Doubles. O’Shannessy is No.1 seed.
