Just as river cruising in Europe to visit the Christmas markets in November and December is becoming more popular, ocean cruising in the Mediterranean during winter is also on the rise. It might seem an odd choice when summer is in full swing in the southern hemisphere but there are several advantages of cruising "out of season" in Europe.
