Alpine Peaks may experience winds around 80 km/h with peak gusts to 120 km/h.
Thredbo Top station reported a wind gust of about 100 km/h this morning, and Goulburn and Moss Vale reported gusts of almost 80 km/h.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should, move vehicles under cover or away from trees, secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony and keep clear of fallen power lines.
