The e-waste collection event will be held during the weekend of August 8-9 at the overflow carpark at Stockland, on the corner of College and Benson Avenue.
Between 9am and 4pm, residents can bring up to five items including computers, monitors, printers, fax machines and scanners.
Projectors, cables, stereos and cameras will also be accepted.
Mayor Marianne Saliba said with the "premature end" to what was considered a long term contract for the free collection of e-waste at our Dunmore waste facility last year, this was welcome news.
"Council staff have been working to secure a more permanent local solution for the free disposal of e-waste and have managed to establish this event in the meantime," Cr Saliba said. Visit the council's website at shellharbour.nsw.gov.au for a full list of the items that will be accepted between 9am-4pm, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August.
Shellharbour residents will need to provide proof of residency by way of a rates notice.
Renters will be required to show their drivers licence.
