US talk show host Conan O'Brien roared into San Diego's annual geekfest Comic-Con on board a battle car from Mad Max: Fury Road.

The monster vehicle, with O'Brien, comedian Andy Richter and O'Brien's show band, Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable Band, on board was filmed as it roared down California's Interstate 5, the freeway which links Los Angeles to San Diego.
On board, O'Brien was dressed as the guitar-wielding Doof Warrior (played by Australian musician and performer iOTA in the film) and Richter as Immortan Joe.
In one spectacular moment - perhaps the clips only properly spectacular moment - O'Brien's guitar shot a stream of flames from it.
The remainder of the clip was typical Conan O'Brien, showing him, with Richter, as a hapless pair who cannot find their way to Comic-Con, even when there's a single road to follow.
Though Comic-Con is a magnet for Hollywood studios and stars, this is the first time one of the major US talk shows has relocated to the city for the occasion.
O'Brien is hosting his show for four nights from Comic-Con.
