Gilmore MP Ann Sudmalis said eight new Green Army projects had been announced in Jamberoo and Shellharbour.
"I am particularly pleased to see Jamberoo's Jerrara Dam Arboretum Extension and Bushland Walk included in the Green Army, as this was an election commitment, and the highly successful projects at Killalea State Park have also received funding once again," she said.
"The Green Army gives local youth training and experience in environmental and conservation fields, and many who were involved in round one and two have gone on to employment or further study in that field."
Green Army projects that will start in the coming months in Gilmore will be:
■Jerrara Dam Arboretum Extension and Bushland Walk, Jamberoo: improvement to the condition, extent and resilience of rainforest.
■Seven projects at Killalea State Park, Shellharbour including restoring and protecting native habitat, weeding, revegetation, seeding collection and propagation of native and endangered plant species.
