Moruya Fire and Rescue Captain Mark Gould said the open day would be held from 10am to 2pm, and admission was free.
“We will have the station and trucks open, and we will be simulating rescues by cutting up cars,” he said.
“We will have hoses for the kids to play with, showbags and a sausage sizzle.”
Moruya Fire and Rescue is in Church Street Moruya.
Batemans Bay Fire and Rescue will display $1 million worth of equipment, including their trucks and a hazmat boat.
A kitchen fire simulator will be up and running and the unit will demonstrate smoke alarms, including models for the vision impaired.
Information about changing smoke alarm batteries and home fire escape plans will also be available.
As at Moruya, there will be showbags for the kids, hose demonstrations in which the kids can ‘have a go’ and a sausage sizzle.
Batemans Bay Fire and Rescue is in Herarde Street in Batemans Bay.
