More than 150 quilts from all over Australia will be on offer at The Pavilion this Saturday (10am to 4pm) and Sunday (10am to 3pm).
Even a quilt made by a four-year-old child will be on sale at the second annual show run by Wollongong Modern Quilt Guild.
The non-profit group's president Rachael Letham said all most states and territories had donated a quilt to feature at Australia's founding modern quilt show.
"We have some very famous quilters and also everyday quilters showing. We have selected the most modern quilts around Australia to try and give everybody an expansive look at what modern quilting means as opposed to traditional quilting, as it is quite different," Ms Letham said.
She says modern quilting is more online based.
"We've got a pretty big online quilting community which includes the Modern Quilt Guild, which is an international quilting group.
"It [show] will be really interesting for people who haven't seen modern quilts before because they are dramatically different to the regular quilts you will see in a quilt show."
The first Modern Quilt Show held in Berry last year was a success.
Ms Letham was confident that the May 30-31 event would be just as successful and raise lots of money for Grand Pacific Health's Suicide Prevention.
"We chose suicide prevention charity this year because a lot of our Wollongong members have been affected by suicide.
"It is an epidemic and we hope to get people talking about it and hopefully throw some money at tackling the issue," she said.
Entry to the charity show is $5. A special opening night will also be held on Friday, May 29 at The Pavilion from 7-9pm.
