Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier for the Illawarra and South Coast, Kiama MP Gareth Ward, presented Outstanding Community Service Awards to four hard working volunteers at Illawarra
Riding for the Disabled at Jerrara last week.
The recipients are:
■Linda Pullen, for her
service as president and more than 15 years of volunteering;
■Denise Tozer for her
service as vice-president and more than 15 years of volunteering;
■Norm Power for his
service as vice-president and more than 22 years of volunteering; and
■Kay Wye, for her service as a foundation member and more than 30 years of volunteering.
“All four of these volunteers are tireless, selfless workers in our community who are extremely worthy of this
prestigious recognition,” Mr Ward said.
“Each of them has worked extremely hard and dedicated a lot of hours building up Illawarra Riding for the Disabled into what it is today and they can be incredibly proud of what they have achieved.
“They are the real unsung heroes and true community champions of our region,’’ Mr Ward said.
