Gerringong Pics and Flicks will celebrate the milestone at their next monthly screening on Friday, June 5.
The June film will be the French romantic comedy Folies Bergère.
‘‘It seems like a nice film, a feel-good film for the birthday,’’ Gerringong Pics and Flicks president Charles McCammon said.
He said films had been screened at the town hall for more than 60 years.
‘‘There’s a long history of films in the town hall, and we just continue that tradition,’’ he said.
Pics and Flicks is a not-for-profit organisation, which Mr McCammon said donated to charity when possible, as well as running events such as arts festivals. They also sought to showcase a broad range of films, spanning Australian, foreign and documentary content, including arthouse features not typically screened in the Illawarra.
‘‘It’s community-based, bringing people together, for people who love movies and enjoy having a movie experience in a small town,’’ he said.
‘‘It’s great to build a community feel and spirit. We give back to the community what we can.’’
Tickets go on-sale at Gerringong Town Hall at 7.20pm, with the film starting at 8pm.
After the film, stay for their Gerringong Pics and Flicks world-famous tea, coffee and cakes ($3) and discuss the film in a relaxed atmosphere.
