Jamberoo found themselves teetering on the edge against a rampaging Gorillas, conceding a try early in the second half to trail 30-6 in their Group 7 Rugby League encounter.
Remarkably, they managed to score the final 28 points of the game to notch a famous win.
The home side hardly missed the influence of injured captain Aaron Henry, scoring in the eighth minute through flying fullback Chad Lisch, then half Josh Kent chipped ahead to score.
Five-eighth Ben Cotter took it to 18-0 after a soft try from dummy-half, then Kent made it a double - Gorillas looking totally in control at 24-0.
The Superoos gave a hint via a superb individual effort by second-rower Ben Jones in the 35th minute.
In the second session, a fumbled high kick landed in the lap of Gorillas replacement Jay Knich, who scored in the corner.
The game turned on its ear when Canadian flyer Trent Bourke, making his debut in first grade, scooped up a dropped ball and raced away for a try and minutes later a rampaging Luke Gilmore crashed over under the posts for 30-16.
A great ball from centre Josh Saunders gave a flying Ben Barnard a spectacular 40-metre sprint to the line.
Five minutes later Matt Jarrett had his first try for his adopted club as the visitors closed to within two.
Centre Michal Maslanka showed great strength to break through out wide and found the ever-present Matt Coelho backing up to score under the posts for the match-winner.
Berry Magpies lost 26-17 to Shellharbour City Sharks on Saturday at a muddy Berry Showground.
With less than 10 minutes on the clock Berry held a 17-16 advantage.

Kiama's strong start to the season continues, thrashing Port Kembla 52-0 on Saturday.
Aaron Ditton, Dean Bristow and Josh Toohey all scored doubles at Noel Mulligan Oval.
Kiama's superior play-the-ball speed troubled the Blacks from the outset; while their pace on the flanks and size also enabled them to race to a 28-0 buffer at the oranges.
It appeared ominous as the visitors' procession-like scoring rate nearly kept up with the clock during much of the first stanza.
Supporters were still tucking into their half-time pies and steak sandwiches when Kieran Poole made it 34-0.
The score-line blew out to 40-0 when a long-range effort, highlighted by some Harlem Globetrotters-like passing, resulted in a Bristow four-pointer.
Tries to Toohey and Cam Whittaker rounded out the scoring.
Gerringong maintained their unbeaten start to the 2015 season with a convincing 42-6 win over Milton-Ulladulla at Michael Cronin Oval on Saturday.
The Lions built a comfortable 30-0 lead before half-time and while they were never really threatened, the win did come at a cost after prop Tim Moore was sent off early in the second half.
Nowra-Bomaderry Jets recorded consecutive high-scoring victories, defeating Albion Park-Oak Flats Eagles 56-22 on Sunday.
