Player-coach James Spence selected the same eleven that beat Coniston 3-0 in his side's last league outing on April 18.
Wet fields throughout the Illawarra meant Kiama's three scheduled matches after that victory were postponed.
Kemblawarra started strongly on a blustery afternoon, but Kiama goal-keeper Dylan McDonald thwarted the home side's efforts.
Kiama soon found their rhythm and grew in confidence as the half progressed.
Their defensive discipline and attacking endeavour was rewarded when Daniel Swinton opened the scoring midway through the first half. He fired a left-footed shot past the Kemblawarra keeper and inside the far post.
Both sides were reduced to ten men late in the match, but Kiama held on for their second victory of the season.
Earlier in the day, Kiama's youth grade side won 3-1 courtesy of goals to Jonty Towle, Ben Reid and Josh Keatley.
The reserve grade team lost 5-3 after being down 4-0 at half-time; Kiama's goals were scored by Michael Wilson (two) and Isaac Coonerty.
Kiama play Berkeley at The Quarry on Saturday.
