About 2am on Tuesday, May 5 a projectile - believed to be from a gun - was fired into a home on Bracken Way, Barrack Heights.
Lake Illawarra Local Area Command were notified by the residents of the home of the shooting and have set up a crime scene this morning and are conducting investigations into the circumstance surrounding the shooting.
No one was injured.
