With a wet start to the season, Easter and the school holidays, youngsters have barely kicked, passed or thrown a ball yet.

Kiama Council’s director of engineering and works  Bryan Whittaker said the council was checking daily and will review prior the  weekend’s fixtures.

‘‘It is sad for the kids I know but it’s alsio about their safety and for the future of the grounds - if they want to play on the fields for the rest of the season, we need to look after them,’’ he said
