Jamberoo started well and at the halfway mark were in front by 40 shots with all teams leading, however Albion Park came back and managed a draw with one team, to reduce the margin towards the end. The win puts Jamberoo three points clear in their section with four rounds remaining.
Club championship major singles matches were also played with Des Harris defeating Bob Rodwell 31-26, in a close encounter.
Both bowlers were in good form, and Rodwell looked like causing an upset halfway through the game, but Harris lifted his game to another level to hang on and win narrowly.
Kevin Harris defeated his son Brian 31-16, the margin was surprising as Brian won the major singles just a few years ago, and was expected to go very close to win again.
Ray Keating defeated Tom Waugh 31-14, with 'young gun' Waugh doing pretty well against seasoned veteran. Waugh tried hard, but Keating was too experienced. Ray has been a valuable gain from Kiama for the Pennant side this year.
Tuesday social triples was won by Ken Jones, Bob Missingham and Bob Brown, with runners-up Ron Edwards, Max Hamilton and Brian Moore.
