Two Days, One Night will be screened on April 10.
It stars Marion Cotillard, an Oscar nominee for leading actress.
The Dardenne brothers, Luc and Jean-Pierre, have two Palm d'Ors to their credit.
Their latest is Two Days, One Night, starring Cotillard as Sandra, a young working class wife and mother, who, just as she is recovering from depression and preparing to go back to work, learns on Friday afternoon that her factory co-workers have voted to accept a €1000 bonus by agreeing to her redundancy.
A last-minute plea to the manager by a friend ensures a recount first thing Monday morning.
Sandra has the weekend to try to convince her fellow employees to change their minds and support her.
Everyone has a reason for wanting or needing the cash, some understandable, some selfish.
But many of them feel torn by their decision.
The film, released last year, won the European Film Award for Best Actress.
Tickets go on sale at Gerringong Town Hall at 7.20pm with the film starting at 8pm.
After the film, stay for the Gerringong Pics and Flicks' world famous tea, coffee and cakes ($3) and take the time to discuss the film in a relaxed social atmosphere.
Yearly memberships available now for only $60. That's 11 movies for $60.
