Fiona says it's early into the vote count but it seems obvious the Liberals will retain the seat. "Hopefully we will see a big swing back to Labor. We've seen a really positive result in Huskisson which I'm quite pleased about," she says.
"This has been a huge improvement from the last state election.
"It will be nice to see the numbers from the local booths coming through."
5pm: Sweet delights keep voters happy at Terara Public School.
4.45pm: Labor's Glenn Kolomeitz says he is now at Illaroo Road Public School where the public’s response is very positive. “We’ve said it will be tight all along, but we are quietly confident that we will get over the line,” he says. Glenn will finish the day at Gerroa Fisho’s. The Greens candidate for South Coast Amanda Findley says the feeling at polling booths is extremely positive. “We’re really looking forward to seeing the final results and hopefully increasing our vote."
4.30pm: Liberals' Gareth Ward says there's still no indication of which way the votes will swing, but Shoalhaven Heads Men's Shed has the best Election Day sausage sizzle. South Coast Labor candidate Fiona Phillips says she's now at Vincentia."It has been a good day out. I saw a wonderful barbecue and cake stall at Terara this-morning. It’s all been very positive." She will finish up in Huskisson later today.

2.30pm: There's a lot of action at the South Coast polling booths today.
12.45pm: So, first up, where to vote? If you're in the Kiama electorate, use this map. If you're in South Coast, here's where you can go.
So, how are the candidates feeling? In Kiama, Labor's Glenn Kolomeitz and the Liberals' Gareth Ward agree it will be a tight contest. Gareth says he's expecting his margin to narrow from over 8 per cent to 5 per cent. Glenn has spent the morning in Gerringong and Albion Park, where he says the reception has been positive. In South Coast, Fiona Phillips for Labor says she's looking to claw back some of sitting Liberal Shelley Hancock's huge margin of 20.8 per cent. "I'm not greedy," says Fiona. "And I'm a realist. I really hope we can win some booths after not winning any last time." Shelley is in a chipper mood, enjoying the sunshine, as are her volunteers. She's cast her vote at Sussex Inlet, where she said the mood was positive. As for the outcome, "You never know until the voting is finished," she said.
