Member for Shellharbour Anna Watson announced the region would receive the funding package under a Luke Foley Labor Government, if elected in March.
The money would go towards the removal of overhead power lines and new lighting in Shellharbour Village and improved traffic and footpaths in Warilla CBD.
The money would be allocated from the $15 million Illawarra Mainstreet Improvement Program, which aims to assist local councils in priority projects.
Shellharbour Village would receive $1.7 million to complete a component of the removal of overhead powerlines and the provision of new lighting.
Warilla CBD would receive $2.1 million for improved traffic safety and footpath accessibility.
