Actress Asher Keddie has her own real-life offspring after giving birth to her first child - a boy.

This is the first child for the 40-year-old Offspring star and her artist husband Vincent Fantauzzo.
Keddie's agent confirmed the news and said "both Keddie and Fantauzzo welcomed a healthy little boy last week and the couple are thrilled and enjoying their downtime".
The actress is known for her role in the TV series Offspring, in which she plays the role of obstetrician, Nina Proudman, who also had a baby on the show.
But unlike her character in the show who is a single mother, Keddie will be sharing parenthood with her husband Vincent Fantauzzo who she wed in April 2014.
Keddie met Fantauzzo in 2012 after she split from her husband of five years, Jay Bowen.
She and Fantauzzo married in a secret barefoot ceremony on the exclusive Turtle Island, Fiji in front of Fantauzzo's four-year-old son Luca.
They met through mutual friends including celebrity chef, Matt Moran.
"We had an instant connection that I'd never felt before. I learn from her all the time. She's very composed and ambitious, but she's also very humble. Asher is happy with who she is and where she's at in life," Fantauzzo said.
Fantauzzo, whose portrait of Keddie won the People's Choice Award at last year's Archibald Prize, also calls her his inspiration.
Keddie clearly feels the same when she thanked her "two guys" - Vincent and Luca - during her Logies acceptance speech in 2013.
The gold Logie-winner Keddie has not always been sure about motherhood and and even suggested children were not in her future.
"Why are we only considered successful if we can juggle a family and a demanding career?" she asked The Australian Women's Weekly in 2011 when probed about motherhood.
"I admire people who can do it, don't get me wrong. But I feel successful not doing it as well. I don't think, 'Oh gosh, I won't be quite there and I won't be as successful as I want to be unless I'm juggling a couple of kids, a marriage and a career."
Keddie has also starred in TV drama, Party Tricks playing Premier Kate Ballard and Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo in which she had played Ita Buttrose.
