The Dragon Boat Challenge was held at Skiway Park, Oak Flats.
A total of 27 teams comprised of corporate/community, schools and sports groups battled it out over the 200 metres.
The Sports Final saw the Illawarra Red Dragons take it out in a time of 56.04, followed closely by the Blue Inlet Dragons with a time of 58.92.
The School Final featured Holy Spirit College - Soul Roar coming in first with a time of 58.42, followed by the SMERC 1 (St Mary's & Edmund Rice combined team) with a time of 58.65.
The Community/Corporate minor final had Shellharbour City Council Slickers finish first with a time of 58.89, followed closely by the Jamberoo Public School P&C.
At the end of the day the Community/Corporate major final saw first-timers Club O2 Health and Fitness take out the title of 2015 Dragon Boat Challenge winners and being awarded the perpetual trophy with an effort of 55.29.
Cardiac Capers followed narrowly behind in 56.17.
More than 200 eager walkers and runners turned out for the Shellharbour City Festival of Sport's Shell Cove Walk or Run for Fun.
This event provides a five-kilometre walk and run and a nine-kilometre run only.
The nine-kilometre course was more challenging, with a few hills to tackle.
The five-kilometre course around the reserves of Shell Cove resulted in the front runners coming in just over 23 minutes.
Senior males across the line included Craig Roach, Duncan Best and Tim McLeod.
First place female senior was Teresha Moxham, closely followed by Simone Allchin.
Junior male of the five-kilometre was Nathan Scollary, followed by Jacob Sterjovski and Kane Golding.
Tahlia Moxham was the first junior female across the line, followed closely by sisters Erin and Ella Wooldridge.
In the challenging nine-kilometre, senior males Gordon Muller, Chris Fraser and Adam Murray notched up times just over 40 minutes.
Karon Larder was the first senior female over the line with a time of 41.50, narrowly ahead of Tracey O'Donnell and Katie Russell.
The Walk or Run event raised funds for the Shellharbour Hospital Auxiliary and the Cancer Council.
The inaugural three-on-three basketball tournament took place at Shellharbour City Stadium.
