Former Shellharbour and St George Illawarra Dragons rugby league player Matt Cooper was selected as a finalist among a star-studded line-up including Home and Away actor Kyle Prior, The Morning Show co-host Larry Emdur, former Olympic gold medalist Michael Klim, personal trainer Luke Hines, illusionist Cosentino and V8 Supercars Driver James Courtney
Luke Benedictus, editor of Men’s Health said they challenged the men to embrace the magazine’s ethos of pursuing a full, balanced life in terms of fitness, health, nutrition and style to get into the best shape for the shoot.
"Now it’s time for our readers to vote and let us know who they think stepped up to the plate," he said.
“Like all of us, these guys all have busy work schedules and family life they have to juggle, so it’s easy to make excuses to not train and eat well.
"But to really get the most out of life, stay healthy and look your best, you have to put in the time, and as you can see it’s paid off."
Cooper said for him fitness was "about feeling good".
"Back when I was playing rugby league, it was more about being the best, strongest, most powerful player – my speed had to be up there," he said.
"These days I don't have to worry about those things, so I workout to feel good inside and keep the pain away from all those old injuries.”
