Kiama Woodcraft Group will host this year's expo at the Masonic Hall.
Woodcraft Group co-ordinator John Daniel said the event typically attracted more than 2000 people throughout the weekend, with visitors travelling from as far away as Sydney, the Southern Highlands and Coffs Harbour to attend.
Mr Daniel said the group was well-established within the community, and endeavoured to encourage an appreciation of woodcrafted items, and the skills involved in their creation.
"The group held its first expo in 2000, making this the 16th year of the event," he said.
"As usual there will be quality items for sale and the opportunity to purchase timber blanks, slabs, veneers and burls, and helpful advice on how to fashion them into works of art.
"There will be demonstrations involving woodturning, scroll-saw work, carving, pyrography and sculpture."
Mr Daniel said one of expo's highlights would be the traditional Club Challenge, in which each member has an opportunity to participate. They are given an identical piece of wood and challenged to make something.
"Each year the end product never ceases to amaze the visitors."
Mr Daniel said those wishing to know more about the group could chat with members at the expo.
The expo will take place on Saturday, March 7 from 9am-5pm and Sunday, March 8 from 9am-4pm.
Entry is free.
The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month, and welcomes visitors and potential members.
