The RMS advsies that Fern Street will be closed between Sandy Wha Road and the Fern Street off ramp between 10am and 2pm.
As a result of recent heavy rain, Roads and Maritime has decided to lay the final asphalt seal now to prevent damage to the road.
Motorists will have to use Belinda Street for access to and from Gerringong.
Traffic control will be in place at the intersection of Belinda Street and the Princes Highway to help direct motorists.
