Torn hearts of atonement: How Andrew Chan saved a young man from despair

During the vigils and final attempts to gain a legal reprieve for Andrew Chan and his fellow Bali Nine ringleader Myuran Sukumaran, there are stories being told of the works of atonement done by these two men. The extent of their reported redemption won't be known until after they're dead – and gathered together as part of a research project led by Perth criminologist Brian Steels and Professor I. Nyoman Sedana of the Indonesian Arts Institute,  Denpasar.
