They will be part of the Kiama Show’s main entertainment, Full Tilt Jousting, on Saturday, January 24.
The couple established the business in 1994 and started touring Australia in 2000; ironically about the time the hit movie A Knight’s Tale was released, and they haven’t looked back.
“We try to make our shows as authentic as possible,’’ coach Rod Walker said.
‘‘This means the armour and costume worn by Full Tilt, and our horses gear is reproduced as closely as possible to the original jousting harnesses.’’
Horse archery is a rapidly growing sport worldwide and Full Tilt can teach the skills of horse archery, along with the skills of a jousting knight.
Full Tilt host training clinics throughout Australia for horse archery, skill at arms and jousting.
“We had such a great time in Kiama when we were there a few years ago; it is such a beautiful place and we are really looking forward to the visit.” Michelle Walker said.
Full Tilt Jousting will make two appearances at the show, on Saturday at 5.15pm and 6.45pm.
Other entertainment on Friday includes horse and cattle ring events and showjumping, the ever-popular pet show, the Track Skill V8 Ute Show, camel races, Shoalhaven Mini Horse trots, an action-packed rodeo and one of the show’s highlights, the announcement of the Kiama Showgirl winner.
On Saturday, the action continues with horse ring events and showjumping, wood chopping, the Illawarra Youth Challenge, mini trots and camel races and, of course, the fireworks finale at 9.30pm.
Other features will include La Petite Grande Circus, Get Wild, Farmyard Nursery, John Gabriele as well as Dalvinder Dharmi’s curry demos, Kel Bee Apiaries, a Lego exhibition, climbing wall, sideshows and showbags on Chittick Oval and much more.
