I had my two-year-old granddaughter with me, and I will always be grateful that she wasn't hurt.
As soon as I hit the ground there were all these wonderful people doing everything they could for me and my grandchild. Woolworths gave her lollipops and everyone around gave her so much kindness.
How they looked after me was amazing, women and men giving up their time to care for me. I did not have my phone with me but they worked out how to contact my husband and a complete stranger drove to our house and brought him down to me.
They were all strangers to me but their kindness will stay with me forever. I hope some of them will see this as I have no other way of thanking them all for everything.
They stayed with me until the ambulance came, who also were wonderful.
The staff at Shellharbour Hospital were great as well.
I was released later that day after a check-up that revealed no damage other than some bruises, an abrasion or two.
Once again a huge thank you to all these wonderful people. Thanks to all your care my injuries were not as bad as they could have been.
Thanks also to the Lake Times for giving me the opportunity to reach everyone who helped me. All the best to all of you.
