The competition is run between the top eight centres in NSW on a home-and-away basis, meaning each team played 14 games in the preliminary rounds.
"It was a tough competition, with some good quality bowls played," Shellharbour Sharks captain James Kyriacou said.
"The format pitted six team members in six head-to-head singles games, three doubles and two trios, meaning every player played a major role in our success, travelling to Newcastle, Orange, Gosford and Sydney.
"We finished the preliminary rounds in second spot, pitting us against minor premiers Campbelltown.
However, they were too good on the night, meaning we had to face Lidcombe in the final, which we won, giving us another crack at Campbelltown in the grand final," Kyriacou said.
"This time it was well-and-truly our night and we destroyed them.
"We were so far ahead we didn't even have to bowl the last game of the night, in fact we really didn't have play the final two games we were so far ahead."
Kyriacou said having current Australian coach Andrew Frawley as a mentor and manager of the centre was a huge boost.
"Andrew has been tremendous and is not only a great player, but has coached all over the world, so it's good to have him around."
