HONK! tells the story of ‘Ugly’ the duckling that is lured away from the farm by a villainous Cat and his quest to find his mother, meeting an assortment of animals and characters along the way.
HONK! shares the valuable message that being different is ok.
Based on the Hans Christian Anderson story of the “Ugly Duckling”, HONK! is sure to be a real family pleaser for the school holidays.
The cast and crew is made up of many family members especially the ‘Hamilton Family’.
Musical director is Paul Hamilton, his sister Louise Hamilton is the Production Manager, Hannah, Sam and Kaitlin Garbo are his nieces and nephew, his mum, Adele Hamilton is costume designer and dad Lester Hamilton came on board to help with the set construction.
Director Kim Hobbs has undertaken the challenge with sheer delight, having a cast of more than 30, with the vast majority under the age of 15.
The costumes are colourful , the set is bright and the music and songs are catchy.
Tickets are adults $20 and concessions/children $15.
Show dates throughout January - Friday 9 (7.30pm), Saturday 10 (1.30pm and 7.30 pm), Tuesday 13 (1.30pm), Wednesday 14 (1.30pm), Thursday 15 (1.30pm), Friday 16 (1.30pm and 7.30 pm) and Saturday 17, (1.30pm and 7.30 pm).
