The ladies celebrated their end of year with a Christmas Party at the Camden Valley Inn and by all reports a great day was had by all. The Ladies return to bowls following their Christmas/New Year break on Tuesday, January 13, 2015.
The Wednesday men had a fine but warm afternoon and finished before the storms came in, the winners being Max Kunzler, Graeme Bartrim and Graeme Clarke with Ken Sullivan, John Ferguson and Chris Twigg the runners-up.
The men’s Thursday bowls were a total washout but Saturday turned into a beautiful day with a cooling breeze for the social bowlers and Bob Harris, Shorty Palmer and Damian Loone came in the winners with the best margin and on a count back Rob Dylan, Chris Twigg and yours truly earned the runners-up prize.
There are some great days arranged over the next couple of weeks commencing New Years Eve Wednesday, December 31 with an End-of Year Bowls Party. Play will start at 10:00am, playing two games of 12 ends, great fun and good prizes and names are required by December 30.
On New’s Years Day we are holding a “recovery party” with barefoot bowls for the whole family, music on the green and a free sausage sizzle with lots of prizes and more. This will be a great fun filled day for the whole family. Just arrive from around 12:00 noon to enjoy the afternoon.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
