Tomorrow, the screening of documentary, Bag It - Is Your Life Too Plastic? will be held at the Roo Theatre with special guest, Tim Silverwood and global food offered from 6pm.
A special Movie Under the Stars event will be held on Saturday December 20 at Reddall Reserve, Lake Illawarra from 6.30pm with the movie Arthur Christmas beginning around 8pm. This event had been postponed due to rain on December 6.
A beach open day will be held on Friday, January 9 from 11am, with the lifeguards providing three safety tours pointing out rips and other special features of Warilla and Shellharbour beaches.
There will be games and activities for the kids on the beach and a free sausage sizzle for the first 250 people.
That night there will be the second outdoor movie at Little Park, Shellharbour Village from 6.30pm for an 8pm start. Our Youth Services team will be there hosting a live gig from 6.30pm and running circus workshops.
The Warilla pool will be open at no charge, 2pm - 5pm on Monday, January 12 and the Albion Park pool will be also be free from 2pm - 5pm on Monday, January 19.
Two coastal discovery walks for young children will be offered, 11am-2pm Saturday, January 17 and Monday, January 19 as a guided tour by our environment team of Bass Point rock platforms and the marine creatures living there.
Artists will display their original art works at our Shellharbour Village Exhibition Space (SVES), which is always a fantastic delight to see and visit.
There is a full program of activities to be held across the city on Council's website, called the Shellharbour City Summer, with copies also available from the tourist information centre in the village.
