As part of the NSW Country tour the Waratahs have visited 12 towns with the trophy on its way from the North Coast to the South Coast and also visited the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands area.
The trophy is accompanied by its own bodyguard Tah Man, who entertains the schoolchildren while on tour.
With a great amount of NSW Waratahs support, Kiama got its hands on the trophy at lunchtime on Friday when it visited Ss Peter and Paul Primary School, and popular tourist spots like the Kiama Blowhole, Kiama Harbour and Surf Beach.
The Waratahs Super Rugby trophy tour is part of the Waratahs Community Engagement program. The team and staff travel to events state-wide to assist with growth of the rugby brand.
"Some very proud Waratahs supporters will get their chance to hold aloft the trophy when it visits the area this week," NSWRU rugby development manager Sean Barrett said earlier this week.
"The schools involved have all participated in Rugby 7s or 15-a-side rugby this year and as a reward for their efforts will get close to the trophy." The players are focused on repeating the 2014 effort, he said.
