Spare a thought for Phillip Hughes' mother; no woman should have to bury a son

I promised myself I wasn't going to write anything about Phillip Hughes. I didn't know him. I can't remember any of his innings if I'm honest. A guy in and out of the Australian cricket team during the years where that seemed to be a common occurrence at the top of the order. Perhaps he was poised to be a great player, someone we would remember for reasons other than those we'll remember him for now. We'll never know.
