LOCAL historians Wendy and Terry Nunan launched their book, Shellharbour's Forgotten Cemetery at Tongarra Museum on Saturday.
The book takes readers back to the early 1800's and walk through the history of Shellharbour's first cemetery which no longer exists.
Through their extensive research The Nunan's uncovered various stories from the people that were buried at the cemetery, dating back to when the cemetery was first established by Darcy Wentworth as part of the private township of Peterborough.
You can buy the book from the Tongarra Heritage Society for $55 and for further information email tongarrasec@gmail.com or call 4261 3934.
