What a nerve to ask residents to assist in the removal of graffiti.
It would be far better to ask them to assist police in bringing such vandals to justice.
Of course, even that wouldn't do much to curb this criminal behaviour as the laws, if any, pertaining to such criminal activity are rarely imposed.
Far better for the Shellharbour City Council to take the opportunity to start an Australia-wide movement to urge all State Governments, local councils, etc to put an end to the blight of graffiti and start jailing the mindless creeps who take pleasure in such a shameful, destructive and costly activity.
